HR Processes...!!

One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and he died. His soul arrived up in heaven where he met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

"Welcome to Heaven ," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," he said.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in."

"Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", he replied.

"Sorry, we have rules..."

And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.

The doors opened and he found himself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of him were all his friends - fellow executives that he had worked with and they were well dressed in evening owns and cheering for him. They ran up and hugged him and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where he enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner.

He met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and he had a great time telling jokes and dancing. he was having such a good time that before he knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook hand and waved goodbye as he got on the elevator.

The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for him.

"Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So he spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. he had great time and before he knew it, his 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got him.

"So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

The man paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."

So St. Peter escorted him to the elevator and again he went down-down-down back to Hell.

When the doors of the elevator opened he found himself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. he saw his friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks.

The Devil came up to him and put his arm around him.

"I don't understand," stammered the man, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."

The Devil looked at him smiled and told...

The 'Big Rocks' Secret

An expert on the subject of time management was speaking to a group of business students. He stood in front of these high-powered overachievers, pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouthed Mason jar, and set it on a table in front of him. Then he produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?"

Everyone in the class said, "Yes."

Then he said, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. Then he dumped some gravel in and shook the jar, causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. Then he asked the group once more, "Is the jar full?"

By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered.

"Good!" he replied. He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in and it went into all the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?"

"No!" the class shouted.

Once again he said, "Good!" Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.

Then he looked up at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?"

One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things into it!"

"No," the speaker replied, "That's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is this: If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all."

The big rocks symbolize our top priorities. What are the "big rocks" in your life? Are you putting them in first?

"Never Give Up"

One day a Farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.

He was astonished at what he saw.

With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. “He would shake it off and take a step up.”

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, He would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey Stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL:

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. The More Unfavorable conditions we get, the more we become Smart. The more we Struggle, more we get the opportunity to Learn.

Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just not by stopping, but by never giving up! Take a step up.

Do Always remember one thing “Never Give Up”.

Gayatri Sadhna

|| ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो योनः प्रचोदयात् ||

Gayatri is the eternal source of thy willpower that motivates the origin and all activities of the visible and invisible forms of Nature. The rivers, oceans, the earth, the moon, the sun and the gamut of other planets, from tiniest particle to the universal expansion…, everything is moving because of this cosmic driving force. It is the root of the impulse of life in the blossoming plants and trees that beautify Nature. The force of life in all living beings originates from its presence. Its superior presence in the human beings is reflected in the intellect, which enables the progressive development of the world and ascent of human life. In extraordinary cases, this sublime power is expressed as spiritually evolved pure, discerning intelligence – Ritambhara Pragya. This enlightened wisdom helps one understand what is right and what is wrong and guides to choose the prudent path to the higher goals of life. This divine power mostly remains concealed in the inner cores of our minds. The determined endeavor of its arousal is termed sadhana. The activation of this subliminal force of Gayatri in the soul links the human self with the divine light and powers of thee.

God is omnipresent in infinite dimensions. Thee is immanent in every movement, every activity, yet remains absolutely unperturbed and stable in the eternity…. The origin of Nature and the creation of the world are manifestation of thy wish to express thyself in multiple forms. The evolutionary impulse of thy will gave rise to this cosmic creation.

Gayatri is Vedamatha, the mother of all Vedas. Being the source of ultimate evolution and beatified salvation of praña, the Âdi Shakt is called Gayatri. The vedic scripture "Aitareya Brahman" describes this meaning as – "Gayan Trayate Sa Gayatri"; Meaning: That, which protects the gaya (praña) is Gayatri. The scholarly "Shankar Acharya Bhashya" further explains the meaning of Gayatri as –– "Giyate Tatva Manaya Gayatri"; Meaning: the discerning, pure intellect – Ritambhara Pragya, which unfolds the ultimate truth and absolute knowledge, is Gayatri.

Sadbuddhi – the enlightened intellect that enables prudent distinction between the truth and the false, the right and the wrong and guides the righteous decision making, is indeed a unique power, which proves to be superior and more beneficial than any other power or resource in the world. Wisdom or brilliance of mind trained and talented in worldly affairs might serve excellent achievements in materialistic developments. But the glittering success, haughty possessions and luxurious comforts attained thereby do not assure reduction of ego, jealousy, worries, tensions and other complications; and on the contrary, often gravitate the burden of the untoward tendencies and problems in life. No wisdom, no intelligence –– how...

A wonderful story!

Once there was a saint in a boat, crossing a river. The flow of river was high. When the boat was in the middle of the river, the boatman shouted, “oh God! Save us, the storm is very fast”. The flow of river was becoming very turbulent. He was trying his best to sail the boat to the shore of river. But it was many miles away from the land, and the storm was high. There was about fifteen-twenty people on the boat. Few minutes later when the boatman was tired, he told the people that you should pray to God, else there is no way to remain alive. All people were afraid and started remembering the God, But surprisingly the saint put up his ‘kamandalu’ and started to fill it with water from the river and pouring into the boat. One, two, three, four, five… he continued doing that. All the people tried to stop him, but he didn’t. After few minutes the boatman shouted that the storm has slowed down, and it seems that we can be saved by the kindness of God. Hearing this, the saint said, “Oh this is the matter”. Then he started to fill the kamandalu from the boat and pouring into the river. The people thought that the saint is mad.

At last the boat was at the shore. All the people went to their destination but the boatman went to the saint and asked, “ My lord, what was you doing? First you were pouring the water inside the boat and then you were throwing it out in the river.” The saint replied, “When you said that the boat is about to sink, I thought that the God wants that the boat should sink. Therefore I made my wish in accordance with the God’s wish. When you said that the boat can reach the shore, then I thought that it is the God’s will that we should be alive. And so I was acting according to God’s wish. Because it is my duty that I should always welcome His wish. But it doesn’t mean that you should copy me in every case, you should welcome every situation with your heart”.

Do you know what the saint had which we don’t have? It’s the worriless exhilaration!

When all Assurances Quit...

This event is of 1899 in America. One adult person of 47 years was standing at a river’s bridge. He was returning to his farmhouse from Maryville. He came across the bridge of river 102, and stopped there. He was thinking- what he should do? He had been struggling since 10 years. Doing very hard work, agriculture and cattle rearing, But result was only losses and losses. He had no money left. The property had been mortgaged, and there was no way even to pay the interest. His family was suffering with poverty. All hopes were finished, there was no support left at all. He remained standing there for many hours about the question of ending his life by jumping in the river. But in the end he returned to home.

Many years later he told his son- Dale, do u know why I didn’t jumped of the river that day? Only because of your mother’s faith I was saved. She used to pray every day to God – “even if all assurances quit, oh god! The helper of the helpless people, the only support, shelter of us, please doesn’t forget us. We love God, and in the last all will be fine.” And really it happened! After it, he spent his remaining life happily and died in 1941.

Dale Carnegie, the famous writer, wrote in his book “How to stop worrying and Start Living?” it is explained in his book how his parents conquered the worries. Dale says, poverty was pursuing us, we were victim of difficulties at every step, but my mother was never worried. She entrusted all the problems to the God. She used to read a chapter of Bible every day before sleeping;

“ In my Father’s house are many mansions,

I go to prepare a place for you,

That where I am, there ye may be also.”

Neither floods nor debts nor disaster could suppress her happy, radiant, and victorious spirit. She often used to sing;

“Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace,

Flowing down the Father above,

Sweep over my spirit forever I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.”

Dale has explained that prayer fulfills these three very basic psychological needs which all people share, whether they believe in God or not:

Prayer helps us to put into words exactly what is troubling us. is almost impossible to deal with a problem while it remains vague and nebulous. Praying, in a way, is very much like writing our problem down on paper. If we ask help for a problem-even from God-we must put it into words.

Prayer gives us a sense of sharing our burdens, of not being alone. Few of us are so strong that we can bear our heaviest burdens, our most agonizing troubles, all by ourselves. Sometimes our worries are of so intimate a nature that we cannot discuss them even with our closest relatives or friends. Then prayer is the answer. Any psychiatrist will tell us that when we are pent-up and tense, and in an agony of spirit, it is therapeutically good to tell someone our troubles. When we can't tell anyone else-we can always tell God.

Prayer puts into force an active principle of doing. It's a first step toward action. I doubt if anyone can pray for some fulfillment, day after day, without benefiting from it-in other words, without taking some steps to bring it to pass. A world-famous scientist said: "Prayer is the most powerful form of energy one can generate." So why not make use of it? Call it God or Allah or Spirit-why quarrel with definitions as long as the mysterious powers of nature take us in hand?

Yaa Devi sarvabhooteshu, Shaktirupen sansthita;

The Supreme Mother Goddess Durga represents the Prime Energy of the Almighty which had been manifest from time to time according to the need of the circumstances.

Significance of Spiritualism

After experience of Europe’s visit on World Religious Conference, Swami Vivekanand said, “India couldn’t progress without science and Technology, but we should not beg, in exchange we should give spiritualism to the world." Vedanta is not only for people living in Himalayas/Sanyasis but also for every normal human being. He must adopt and improve his normal behavioral life and serve the society.

When Swami Vivekanand was disturbed on “Where is the God?” and asked his Guru about this, he replied keeping his hand on his head (blessing him) “Here is God”. He further explained to him, look son; I have only removed ‘W’ from your question. Realized souls are not rare. Ignorant, worldly-minded persons cannot easily recognize them. Only a few persons who are pure and have all virtues can understand realized souls. They alone will be benefited in their company. (Only Pandavas were benefited by lord Krishna, Kouravas & Kansa couldn’t recognize them).

Do you know what is the difference in the viewpoint of a spiritual and unspiritual person? Once Swami Vivekanand asked three laborers a question, “what are you doing?” The workers who were shaping the stones with hammer & chisel replied differently as:

-Don’t you see, I’m using hammer & chisel.

-Earning my livelihood.

-Building a temple and simultaneously nourishing my family, by earning livelihood.

Therefore the approach of a spiritual person encompasses of duty and devotion.

What are the benefits of being spiritual or to believe in the existence of the divine power known as GOD? For achieving a goal our mindset plays a vital role. Sometimes we get disheartened. The spiritualism enables us to view every aspect with positive frame of mind. For example, instead of thinking that, “we are alone, nobody helps anybody”, we get a positive attitude that, “God is alone capable to take care of us”.

We normally sympathize with problems and try on giving justification for their existence and explanation of best efforts put in the prevailing situations & conditions. However if we decide not to live with problem and give a continuous thing we shall be surely blessed with God’s grace and solutions. Most of the times results will be beyond imaginations. It is experienced by many peoples in their life. Thus being a spiritual person, we get a more positive attitude, devotion, strength, happiness, and more sense of duty.

Nature of Bliss

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared with what lies within us” –Olive Wendell Holmes.

Ordinarily speaking, we say that we are happy when we get the thing we are looking for. At the time when we desire something, our mind is in a state of unrest; but when we get that thing, the state of unrest is replaced by a sense of peace. Similarly, we say that we are happy when we get rid of a thing that we reviled. At the time when we detest something, our mind is restless; but when we get rid of that thing, our mind becomes calm. Therefore, happiness follows when a preceding state of unrest is ended.

Happiness is identical with the feeling of rest or peace. Only he, who knows mental peace, experiences true bliss. And to still mind i.e. without all thoughts, it is the aim of spiritual practices. The feeling of peace, contentment and happiness is inborn and ingrained in every one of us. If we neglect our inner happiness and seek for happiness in the outside world, we are seriously impairing our chances of getting it. So, if we depend on the external world for happiness, we will only be slave of circumstances. Cursing to anyone is a kind of directing the God for doing bad things to anyone. We are very small people and not competent to direct the God in such matter. God will take care of such people as per his will and at His time.

If therefore, we seek to remove our mental turbulence by trying to secure all things which the mind asks for or to get rid of all the things which disturb it, our search for peace will be endless one, our mind will always be in a state of unrest and we can never attain true everlasting happiness.

True peace and happiness is within you, search within.

High-Spirit

Do you have ever thought that what is the Essence of Life? Of course with not so much arguments, it must be all and around the bliss also known as ‘Sat-chit-anand’. It is the state of extreme happiness, a condition where nothing is left to achieve, when the one has attained the emblem of God.

This eternal bliss is all about the happiness of soul ‘The Atma’. In the great holy book “Bhagavad-Gita”, it is stated that the state of eternal happiness can be achieved by knowing the vital element ‘Bhramn’. A person residing deep in oneself, impervious by the surroundings, in the condition known as ‘Yoga’, can know this vital element. The person enlightened with the divine radiance can recognize the nature of God known as ’Parambhramn’.

One lesson we can derive from Lord Ram’s fourteen years of exile (vanwas), is “even without your own cause, circumstances can make you suffer”. But as always, Life is the journey from pains ‘taap’ to eternal bliss ‘parmanand’, from purity to impurity, from death ‘avagaman’ to immortality ‘moksha’, from hatred to cosmic love, from ignorance ‘agyaan’ to eternal wisdom ‘brahmngyan’, from slavery to freedom, from weakness to infinite strength, i.e. from every imperfection to perfection.

Happiness

No Life ever grows great until it is focussed, dedicated & disciplined; but no Life is ever Happy until it is lived for the glory of GOD.

Happiness doesn’t depend on outward condition. It depends on inner conditions. It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.

Human is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his Joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough Happiness provided for it. One need not to be a millionaire to be happy, one is needed to be contented. Of course a poor but contented person would be much more happy than an insatiable one. As it is said “a contented mind is a contented feast”. But it doesn’t means that we shouldn’t try to achieve which we don’t have. One must endeavor to grow great but with the sense of gratification.

How this view can be achieved? Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-Gita, “karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachanah”, means ‘one has only the right to work, not in the result of work, as well as one should not be unwilling to do work.’ These words of Lord Krishna present us the path to attain happiness in our life.
